Kommentar: Tom Kings Batman är fortfarande en titel som jag inte hunnit läsa, trots att jag för länge sedan inköpt den första samlade lyxutgåvan. Ju fler år jag ägnar åt bloggen desto mer inser jag att det som DC och Marvel ger ut hamnar allt längre och längre bort i skymundan och utan att jag ens saknar det. Det här är en titel för redan frälsta fans av Tom Kings Batman och är du det så måste du självklart hoppa på.

Kommentar: DC dammar återigen av antologititeln Batman Black and White och kreatörslistan är imponerande både när det gäller klassiska Batman-författare som James Tynion IV och Paul Dini men också G. Willow Wilson och så J.H. Williams III och Emma Rios som står för både manus och bild i sina historier.

Kommentar: Jag förälskade mig i X-Men i unga år under Chris Claremont och John Byrnes klassiska run som dök upp på svenska i mitten på 1980-talet och fortsatte att läsa serien under större delen av Claremonts författarskap. Att säga att Claremont skapade de moderna X-Men på riktigt är nog ingen överdrift och även om hans författarstil tenderade att bli manér i långa perioder så innehåller hans 16 år långa run många smaskiga godbitar och koncept. 2021 är det 45 år sedan han tog över titeln och detta firas med ett specialnummer.
FANTASTIC FOUR: ROAD TRIP #1

Kommentar: Christopher Cantwell är en ny favorit med sina läsvärda titlar She Could Fly och Everything och på senare år har han även dykt upp som författare till Iron Man och Doctor Dooms solotitel som till och med nominerades till en Eisner. Nu får han spänna musklerna med min favoritkvartett i en one-shot som ser lovande ut.

Kommentar: Patton Oswalt är tydligen inte bara en underhållande komiker och skådespelare utan också en stort fan av tecknade serier. I den kommande animerade TV-serien Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. är han både medförfattare och gör rösten till mitt flytande favorithuvud och jag är mycket sugen både på den och den kommande miniserien Head Games.

Kommentar: Det här är en titel som jag inte ens behöver läsa vad den handlar om för att jag ska införskaffa den. Allt som Ed Brubaker och Sean Phillips gör tillsammans är något av det bästa man kan läsa i serieväg och jag tror verkligen inte jag kommer att bli besviken nu heller. Reckless är en del i Brubaker/Phillips nya giv med löst sammanhållna graphic novels och nästa del utkommer i april 2021.

Kommentar: Ett vandrade spökhus som har kidnappat en punksångerska! Det låter helt stört men fantastiskt på samma gång och det ska bli spännande och se vad Dan Watters (Coffin Bound) och Caspar Wijngaard (Peter Cannon: Thunderbolt) kokat ihop.

Kommentar: Första volymen av Kate Leth och Megan Levens road-trip med häxtrion Claire, Jolene och Andy var en frisk fläkt och jag såg mycket fram emot fortsättningen. Från början var den tänkt att komma ut i lösnummer med start våren 2020 men Dark Horse Comics bestämde sig i sista minuten att det fick bli en trade istället. Sedan dök pandemin upp och Spell on Wheels vol. 2 blev ytterligare försenad men nu är den äntligen här.

Kommentar: En annan titel som vi väntat länge på är The Seeds av Ann Nocenti och den fenomenale tecknaren David Aja. Två nummer kom ut 2018 och sedan tog det tvärslut när det återstod lika många. Här bjuds det på kärlek och förvecklingar i vår döende världs elfte timme och mina förväntningar är skyhöga.
MÅNADENS TIPS:
Valet står mellan Reckless och The Seeds och även om jag svävar på målet så råder det ingen tvekan om att jag alltid kommer att välja Brubaker och Phillips serie alla dagar i veckan.
